John from http://www.growingyourgreens.com/ shares with you the power of using human manure in your organic garden to grow your fruits and vegetables.

In this episode, John visits his friend Paul, who has been composting is human manure for the past 10 years and is using it to grow vegetables. You will see a comparison of growing the same exact vegetables that were planted at the same time in cow manure and human manure, and you may double think ever flushing your poop down the toilet again.

First, John will give you an update tour of the residential food forest property that is growing fruit trees with wood chips and horse manure.

You will then learn about some of the vegetables and experiments that the gardener is doing at their home and how they can benefit you as a home organic vegetable gardener.

You will discover the growth comparison between cabbage being grown in cow manure and compost or human manure and compost and how much healthier, larger and more nutritious plants you could be growing using properly composted human manure.

Next, you will learn the proper techniques of creating your own human manure with your poop including how to go to the bathroom easier by squatting like virtually every other animal on earth.

Finally, John will sit down with Paul, the gardener asking him questions about making human manure.

The problem with growing greens here is we get hundreds of slugs one year I put down 2lb jam jars quarter filled with beer every morning the jam jars were full with slugs so now I use tomato food and dilute it with water and they do not like that and it dose not harm the plants it dose them good

Macartan Caughey says:

Hi john we use 2 year old cow manure and the same with chicken manure but we don't use turkey manure

Lord Trump says:

By far one of the best videos John has ever produced. I dislike 95% of the videos I watch. This is one of very few I liked and also added as a favorite

Nasty, nasty…just plain NASTY! 🤮

Cherry Downs says:

I've been thinking about doing this, just needed to know how to properly compost it. Thank you John. I already use free city composted leaves and limbs ( not sludge) and also use my own diluted urine. Works great when plants are needing nitrogen to grow. Then when they are in their fruit developing phase I add a tiny bit of phosphorus and potassium to it. I bury smashed egg shells and kitchen scraps in my soil also. I compost my roosting place substrate. The nitrogen in chicken poo works great to jump start my compost bin.

Cherry Downs says:

Heat of the composting kills bad bacteria…

Jumpoff A says:

There is a very good reason why we do not use human waste to fertilize our crops – Parasites and Pathogens. For example the lowly tapeworm. The tapeworm feeds off the intestinal track of animal. It then sends its eggs loose into the fecal matter of the host. The host then defecates its fecal matter. IF, you use this fecal matter to fertilize your crops, you have a good chance to eat a tapeworm egg. The egg then germinates inside the intestinal track and the tapeworm then attaches itself to the intestine of the new host to start its life cycle all over again.

To break this cycle of the tapeworm you do not use human waste to fertilize your crops. There are other micro organisms that can and do affect the health of the human population much in the same manner.

There are bacteria an virus that follow the same life cycle as the tapeworm that can get us sick. This is why we use horse, cow, and chicken fertilizer – they only eat vegetation and not meat. The Parasites and Pathogens usually don't look at humans as host because we break their life cycles.

Don't be stupid and follow this ill advised advice. This is the difference between the USA and third rate countries. We care what we eat, how we grow it and how to prevent illness.

John I'm really disappointed in you spreading this idea. I suggest you investigate my claims then discuss your findings with your subscribers. Check with the local college or take a class in parasitology and microbiology. I'm a microbiologist.

Yuppynuts says:

Hmm. I guess now we know why water treatment plants have such green lawns!

Been using my urine cutting it 1 to. 5. With water, on my cannibis. Plants learned that trick in 1976 from Manny martinis in Sacramento california. Works great

This is fucken nasty!!!! Omfg!!!

attila fitzpatrick says:

damn sure ain"t Kosher

attila fitzpatrick says:

In dry climes especially ANY, (form of manure save worm castings) along with urine in the long run will lead to salt build up .
This reminds me of a pot grower I knew who laid a dog turd at the base of every plant to give it more bite…no for real ….

h wozniak says:

If you were my "friend" and made all the critical remarks you do, you wouldn't.be filming in my yard. You even criticize the need for water on a small bed. That is nothing compared to the big time criticism of his other methods. How about a single disclaimer at the beginning which refers viewers to a separate video wherein you explain your concerns about manure, etc? You may be trying to be nonjudgmental, but you aren't quite there yet. I love manure! Soil organisms can deal with it quite well. Contaminated foods are a result of various forms of poor husbandry.

Ask Angel. says:

Hope this is your good friend because you insulted him a lot lol

Zobrut says:

Worm poo is #1 for soil. Worms eat scraps then they poop and feed the soil = circle of life.
Unless you been on 100% raw organic foods for a few years i wouldn't use human poo

Andrea Wisner says:

You should practice being more diplomatic. Instead of saying "you're not doing a very good job…" say "you could do better. "

Paranoid says:

too much information ….I guess an animal doesn't wipe its ass so let me guess u don't do that either ?

Thomas Novak says:

Human manure is extreme. Shit in the woods, wipe your ass with leaves, fine. Saving your shit is absolutely extreme. Can't even watch this video.
