What we throw out goes back into our food supply. Everything runs in a cycle and mindless consumption is corrupting that cycle. This is not just an environmental issue, it’s a YOU issue. The average American is expected to throw away 90,000 pounds of trash in their lifetime.

Vanessa Perez says:

When your stasher bags fall a part you can send it back to stasher and they make playgrounds with it!

katerina leoudi says:

Hello from Austria! Thank you for the beautiful video. This tip with the fabric wrap was awesome!!

musicechoes says:

Another great toothbrush swap is ordering from a company that recycles the plastic to make new items. I purchase my brushes from Preserve and just mail back the used ones once I've collected a bunch.

Sofie Pearl says:

Thanks for these videos! I'm very lucky and live very close to 2 zero-waste bulk stores in Vancouver. However, I understand my privilege and they are not always accessible for everyone. The important thing is doing what you can, not trying to be perfect!

Stephanie Eva says:

Wait, I don’t mean this in a challenging way, but what gum is made of plastic? Wouldn’t that be in the ingredients? I thought it was made of sap and wax?

Jessie-Lynne Price says:

Love that you’re becoming more passionate about the environment but I can’t help but be bothered by the absurd amount of paper towel you used in your previous tofu video. Are you planning to cut that out too? Otherwise, love your channel !

bobtheblob03 says:

FYI, new landfills are designed so that they DO NOT leech into our groundwater, and there are efforts to remediate old landfills (that are no longer in use) from leeching

laurynnb says:

Ah shit I can use my washable cotton breast pads for my face now that I’m done breastfeeding ! Woo hahahah

Pildora says:

The reusable cotton pads are such a great idea!

Lina ! says:

haven't even finished the video yet but my god.. candice's videos were ones that i watched a lot when deciding to go vegan/first going vegan and seeing the difference between how she looked then and now and just how much she's GLOWING is insane!!! she looks so happy and radiant and i'm v happy for her wow

Random Name says:

This series is awesome <3 Love that you're raising awerness for the planet and how we can be more environmentally friendly <3 The world is in desperate need for us to act in a much more environmentally friendly way <3 #GoVegan #NoPlanetB

marieeclaire says:

Those earth rated bags don’t say they actually compost BUT earth rated brand does have bags that do compost basically brake down as they come in contact with Moisture they are white 👀

Amelia says:

9:02 that cheeky dog smile :')

Emily James says:

I have never used a q-tip for my makeup in my life… lol. What's the point? When you're washing it off just use a soft washcloth? It's even more environmentally friendly.

Ory Waisp says:

Also try to think localy
Using a bamboo toothbrush is amazing but most of them are made in china and shipped from there
Not very eco-friendly unfortunatly 🙁

Eline says:

I noticed that in your last video, you used a lot of paper towel to press your tofu. It would be more sustainable to get a tofu press and ditch the kitchen towels.

Serafinelly says:

Please be aware that the fibers on the bamboo toothbrushes may be from bamboo / oil / etc. BUT they are modified that it just does not biodegrade like the handle would. A lot of companies are not clear about that topic but as far as I know there is no fiber for the brushes that is biodegradable in a “normal” environment. To be on the safe side, throw the brush head in the garbage that will be burned. The handle can go with the food waste.

moonatnoon says:

Great Video! BUT SHOPPING EVERYTHING ONLINE, ESPECIALLY ON AMAZON ISN`T SUSTAINABLE AT ALL!

Patricia McDonald says:

Thanks for showing these eco-friendly hacks. It's great to do whatever we can to save wildlife and us. Right now it feels quite challenging, in some ways, to figure out whether it's better to buy the many new vegan items now in the shops to support the growth of veganism, or not to buy those products which are mostly packaged in plastic. Wouldn't it be great if vegan also meant sustainably packaged. Maybe there should be laws saying that an item can't be sold in the first place unless it can be completely composted, or endlessly reused. So thanks for the hints, it's good to see ways to make a start at least.

Chenai David says:

Candice inspired me to swap almond for oat milk! I picked up the same brand 3 days ago, it’s delicious. I prefer the unsweetened vanilla over the unsweetened original
