There is a reason why we chose for our self sustainable homestead the Back to Eden Garden method. We wanted to create a garden that not only produced well, but didnt need to be watered much, was not labor intensive, had no pests, and worked WITH nature not against it.
Hmmm we also wanted a garden WE didnt have to ADD a little this and that…and use this method and that method and use the “lets wait and see approach. WE needed a garden that would be successful the first year! WHY! Because we are off grid and WE want to our homestead to be self reliant..not a crap shot! PLUS we need to eat…not wait and see if we get some veggies or none at all!!
BTE method delivered the first year! And the beauty of the method is after three years it is now creating soil…EVERY gardeners dream!!!!
NOT all methods offer sustainble soil! soil that is created! Alot of methods you have to keep adding “stuff” year after year! UGHHH!!! Enough of the science projects!
GOD didnt GET IT wrong!
Stop looking and start thinking simple!!

Watch as Starry shares her sustainable soil…created by the BTE method! If you are a gardener and are yearning for soil that IMPROVES year after year…Take a look! BTE is a concept reflecting nature…its green..organic..and works ANYWHERE with ANY soil in a any climate because GOD knows what He’s doing!!

Love the train in the background. I made up my mind a few videos ago that I'd like to try the BTE method! I've never grown anything before so I am super excited.

So I use a tiller now but I have started a wood chip compost pile. wood chips, grass, horse manure and garden scraps. my goal is to have good soil with no tilling, but my garden is very large so finding that amount of chips takes awhile.

Just saw some of you videos and love each of them. just stumbled across them. Guess the Lord knew I need it find them. My question is since I'm starting a garden in a new area this spring here in Indiana, do I still need to till first or just put down the wood chips then transplant my plants into the woodchips/ soil. I start my plants inside to get a head start then transplant into the garden.
Thanks. look forward to watching all your videos.

Brandy T says:

what about termites? I tried this one year and the wood chips was infested with termites and I was so afraid they would get in my house lol so I quit with the woodchips.

Lovepeacejoy says:

Thank you so much for sharing the method that works for you. I have spent a lot of money on soil, miracle grow, pots, plants and all I got was 3 grape tomatoes, one fell off, one not ripe and the bugs ate the other one ☚ī¸ Discouraging, and that was my second try. All that money wasted. Oh, I also tried one of those plastic hanging systems……..wood chips to the rescue!
